(Norwalk, Conn.) The City of Norwalk invites the community to its first-ever Halloween Nightfair on Washington Street. This exciting event is set to take place on Saturday, October 28th, from 5:00 PM to 10:00 PM and Sunday, October 29th, from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
"The City of Norwalk is thrilled to host our first-ever Halloween Nightfair on Washington Street," said Mayor Harry Rilling. "This free, family-friendly event will give the community the opportunity to come together, enjoy fantastic entertainment, and celebrate the spirit of Halloween in vibrant South Norwalk."
The City of Norwalk will transform Washington Street into a Halloween extravaganza featuring Halloween-themed activities such as bounce houses, games, pumpkin painting, and trick-or-treat bag decorating on Saturday and Sunday.
On Saturday, October 28th, attendees will get to enjoy entertainment by a contortionist and a magician beginning at 6:00 PM. They will also have the opportunity to explore vendors and food trucks offering unique Halloween-themed items. Starting at 6:30 PM, there will be exciting musical performances featuring the house music group Goodboys, followed by Laidback Luke, who will be hitting the DJ Booth at 8:00 PM.
On Sunday, October 29th, beginning at noon, the City will kick off the day with a Howl-o-Ween Pet Parade. Attendees are welcome to join the fun by dressing their pets in their spookiest or cutest costumes and having them walk in the parade on Washington Street. Those interested in having their pet participate can sign up by visiting tinyurl.com/norwalkhowloween.
On Sunday, at 2:30 PM, attendees can enjoy a performance by musician Ryan Cabrera, followed by a costume contest at 3:30 PM. The panel of judges, including Mayor Rilling, will award special prizes to the selected costume winners. To participate in the costume contest, participants can sign up at tinyurl.com/norwalkcostume.
Finally, the City of Norwalk will offer the 'Touch a Truck' experience on both days so families can explore the fascinating vehicles from our city's departments up close!
