If you have received a mailing from TaxServ LLC, please follow the instructions in that mailing. There are detailed instructions advising what steps you can take if you wish to dispute a past due motor vehicle tax bill.
The City of Norwalk engaged TaxServ LLC, a third party collection agency, in late 2022 to locate taxpayers owing past due motor vehicle taxes that had been placed in suspense due to lack of valid mailing address and / or length of time past due.
If you seek to have a bill adjusted or removed from the tax rolls,
you must contact the Assessor's Office.
Instructions are included in the correspondence you received from TaxServ.
Payments should be made to the CITY OF NORWALK - not to TaxServ LLC.
You may pay by mail or in person or, for your convenience, you may now also pay online or over the telephone. The website or the toll free number will take you to our payment portal operated by Invoice Cloud, our IVR and internet payment provider. Additional fees are charged for this service; those fees will be disclosed up front and you will have the opportunity to back out of the transaction if you change your mind. Please go to the E Tax Bill Lookup or the Pay Your Taxes links on your left, in the navy blue sidebar.
If you choose to mail in your check, please enclose with your payment a copy of the notice you received.
If you would like to speak with someone from the tax collector's office staff, please call our main line at 203 854 7731.
