Public Safety Answering Point

Combined Dispatch is the City of Norwalk’s Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) for all emergencies
(9-1-1) and all calls for service involving the Police and Fire departments.

As a PSAP, we are regulated by the State of Connecticut's:

Staff Members

Located in the Police Department facility, the Combined Dispatch Center operates continuously. Our staff members include one director, six supervisors, and 18 dispatchers who process tens of thousands of calls for assistance each year.

All personnel are state-certified telecommunicators and are trained in emergency medical dispatch services.
