Calf Pasture Beach, Veteran's Park, Taylor Farm, and Cranbury Park parking fees are in effect from May 15 to October 15 every year.
The 2022-2023 Resident Disposal pass and Beach & Parks verification are available. https://hub.norwalkct.gov/passes/
There’s so much to do here every day!
Baseball/softball, volleyball, skate park, playground, refreshing splash pad, sun and sand sports, the sailing school, bocce, basketball, and 3/4 of a mile of scenic coastline with tremendous views. There are also special events scheduled all season long ranging from classic car shows to fabulous free concerts! (Some activities may be suspended due to COVID-19) Enjoy a casual meal of beachy food, or try the delicious fresh seafood at Ripka’s. Always fresh and served with a smile!
Picnic tables will be available at Shady Beach and are on a "first-come, first-served basis".
Our beach hours are 7:30 am-9 pm. The splash pad hours are 8 am to 8 pm. We do not have lifeguards on duty after labor day.
Day Parking Passes
Norwalk Residents need to verify their license plate number is on our Grand list before parking at Calf Pasture Beach or Shady Beach EVERY YEAR AFTER APRIL 1ST!

All Non-Resident Parking for Calf Pasture Beach is first come first serve, we only have 130 parking spots available daily for non-residents at Calf pasture beach. Day Parking passes can be purchased on the ParkMobile app or at one of the two pay station kiosks located on the main sidewalk next to the parking lot. Day Parking Passes can be purchased on the ParkMobile app or by calling 877-727-5730. (Beach Zone# 2035)

Beach fees: The non-resident parking fee is $42/per car on weekdays before 5:00 pm, and $30/per car after 5:00 pm., $72/per car on Saturday and Sunday and on holidays.
The "Landlocked Towns 2023 season passes" will be available for purchase after April 15th, 2023 at City Hall- room 225, Monday-Friday 8:30 am-4:30 pm.

If you’re wishing for a blue water backdrop for your special day and you can’t do the Caribbean, how about a celebration at Calf Pasture Beach, or neighboring Shady Beach? Both offer easily affordable options that don’t require shoes. We can’t guarantee rainbows but they do happen! Click HERE for fee information.

Kayak Rack Rental
The City of Norwalk's Recreation & Parks Department will be using a new lottery system to select park users to rent our Calf Pasture kayak racks from April 1 - November 1, 2023. The lottery closed on February 18, 2023.
The kayak racks are $150 to rent for this season. The lottery is good for (1) season only. After February 18, names will be selected through a random number-generating system. Park users selected in the lottery will be notified via email or phone. Only (1) entry per person. Racks are limited to (2) kayaks per household.
Those interested in entering the lottery should submit their information at https://forms.office.com/g/PCic7ULxnd and can learn more by visiting https://www.norwalkct.org/2094/Calf-Pasture-and-Shady-Beach. Residents can also enter the lottery by calling (203) 854-7806, emailing kayaks@norwalkct.gov, or visiting our office at 125 East Avenue Room 225.
*This 2023 lottery system will only be for renting Calf Pasture kayak racks. Shady Beach kayak racks renters have already been selected from a 2022 kayak waiting list.
